Parts Already Compliant to 2014 No-Lead Legislation.

of January 4, 2014, Federal Public Law 111-380 prohibits the
sale of plumbing fixtures with a wetted surface area containing
more than a weighted average of 0.25% lead. BrassCraft(R)
Service Parts SKUs have been 100% compliant to the legislation,
including its extensive line of water saving faucet aerators,
since January 1, 2013.

"There are
considerable consequences as the industry adheres to this new
law. For example, this law applies to all products in the
distribution chain making many current products obsolete after
the January 4, 2014 deadline", said George Werner, Vice

service parts category, no faucet repair components used in
potable water applications can be sold or installed after
January 4, 2014 unless they meet the legal definition of 0.25%
